Yes, and all I can say is that at least I am acknowledging July at the start of the month.
It's here, it's raining. Bit of a feck of a Summer. Anyways, I am now going to declare something that may be obvious to those who know me, or indeed anyone who has spend 10 minutes looking at the stuff on Shedpotz- I am not a minimalist.
I don't know that I am quite a maximalist, but on the scale of minimalism to maximalism, I am definitely down past the mid-point firmly weighing down the maximalist side of the scales.
I like mad stuff juxtaposed together and I like a little too much of good things and I like a sense of humour in the middle of excellence in skill and craft. I like the idea of fruity pebbles cereal in organic pancakes, or rainbow colored frosting on good quality chocolate because everything does not have to be serious.
But here's the thing. Alot of ceramics and crafts are very minimalist I think. I don't think I fit in anywhere easily, in any genres. But you know what, so what. Here's to seriousness in skill, with a little huour and light heartedness for flavour.
