The story of these mugs begins with a workshop and alot of slip (liquid, coloured clays) which I wanted to use to decorate on mug surfaces. Also my increasing obsession with making mugs of modern safety and hygiene but looking quite ancient.  These beauties are slab built with earthenware clay, decorated with coloured slips (as mentioned above!) and underglaze prints, and made by me in my studio. The mugs are a little smaller - about 75-80mm high by 80mm wide at rim, it holds 10oz or 300ml of liquids. The interior is glazed with darker glaze.

There are some different colours and prints to choose from, and there are a few available in some as listed. They weigh 320grms when packaged for mailing, and each is packaged in a cardboard box to gift, but then boxed again if popped in the mail. When your package arrives, it will look like you have been sent a giant mug but really, the mugs need alot of wrapping!

Mugs can be used with hot or cold liquids, not recommmended for microwave use as the handles can get really hot. But you can chance it if you want, it is a free country!
