These pretty ceramic disc earrings are on a brass lever back fitting and there are five pairs of earrings in this collection. I made the discs with earthenware clay and used different stamps and textures on the clay surface. For example, the pink candle ones use an old typesetters tiny candle stamp which I found in an antique place. I love to use things that remind me of happy memories! The discs when fired are glazed and refired to complete. Then the discs are attached to the earrings, which are brass coloured metal. The tiny heart earring discs(no 1) are 10 x 12 mm, the others are 15 x 20 mm. The overall length of the earrings including the earring metal part is 25mm (1 inch). These earrings are a tidy size as seen in photos, they do not hang down much below the earlobe. The colours are all warm and the glaze gives much depth to the surface texture.
All the earrings have brass fittings except the tiny floral ones which are silver.
The earring beads are made from earthenware clay by me here in my studio in Waterford. The earrings are one of a kind, they are mailed packed in an eco friendly packing box.
