I make little pieces of ceramics and it is so much fun. It's an intense amount of detail, use of techniques and practicality rolled into a tiny work of wearable art. One of the aspects I love is how a pattern or glaze can look one way on a vessel, and the details of it so different when magnified on a small item.
Brooches are made from earthenware clay and fired, glazed and decorated in multiple ways. They attach by means of metal hardware pins on the back. They are not recommended for light fabrics such as silks etc. They are mailed in tiny boxes which are easily recycled. All items made by me in my studio here in Waterford.
